About our region
In St.Goar we are renting 4 cozy ***Three Star*** Holiday Apartments, facing the romantic Rhine river promenade in the famous wine country half ways between Frankfurt and Koblenz. It takes about one hour from Frankfurt airport by car and can also be reached by train very conveniently. The station is less than a 5 min. walk from our apartments.
Rhine river cruise ships dock in front of our doorstep, and there are lots of very good restaurants just a few steps away - in case you don't want to utilize your completely furnished kitchen. Grocery stores, bakeries and butchers are nearby.
Burg Katz (Cat Castle) and Burg Maus (Mouse Castle) are placed at other side of the river. Our apartments are located at the base of fortress Rheinfels, and the famous Lorelei is only about 1 km(3/4 ms) up the river. St.Goar is very close to the other world famous medieval towns of Bacharach, Ruedesheim and Boppard, part of the unesco world heritage.
In the summertime St. Goar is visited by many tourists from all over the world. There is always something going on, from big events to smaller festivals, to numerous to mention. Biggest attraction of them all is "Rhein in Flammen" (Rhine in flames) which takes place in september and is world famous. If you would like it a little more calm, you will surely enjoy a relaxing vacation in the spring or fall.
